We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Administration Team. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, statement reconciliation, and payments. You will work as part of the team to meet monthly reporting deadlines and are required to assist with a variety of other tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the administration team. You will need to be an excellent communicator, be organised and work well under pressure.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices.
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Address discrepancies / inconsistencies and ensure follow up in a timely manner.
Timely and accurate processing of supplier payments.
Equipment ordering including returns processing if required.
Processing month end journals and preparation of reconciliations.
Assist the team with general accounting & administrative functions.
Key attributes to be successful in securing this role:
Experience working in an accounts team, specifically accounts payable.
Experience delivering quality customer service and using initiative to manage difficult situations, responding promptly to stakeholder needs in a professional and timely manner.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work within deadlines and effectively manage priorities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, confidently working as part of a team and communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
You will need to have highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite for your application.
