  • Gymnastics Western Australia is the peak body for the sport of gymnastics in Western Australia.     We are currently looking for a Executive Project Officer to join our team in Leederville.

    To be considered for this position, you will need have proven experience in an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or Project Officer role. Experience working in the sports and recreation and/or educational sector is advantageous.

    You will also need to demonstrate:
    • Proven experience in managing and delivering projects and initiatives
    • An understanding of preparing and reporting to budgets
    • Proven relevant customer service experience
    • A positive, exciting and vibrant attitude
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Confident computer skills (proficient in the MS Office Suite)
    • Organisation and time management skills
    • Working with Children Card
    • National Police Clearance
    You will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the Executive Director and Senior Management team. In addition to general administrative work, you will be in charge of scheduling meetings, taking minutes during sessions, maintaining databases and producing reports or presentations for executive leadership.

    This will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Maintaining and coordinating an effective calendar and filing system
    • Maintaining and reporting on correspondence, commitments and timelines relating to Executive Director projects
    • Administration support to the Board and Subcommittees, including preparation of agenda and minutes of various internal and external meetings
    • Customer service duties including answering calls and general communication enquiries
    • Developing and managing budgets associated with project development and delivery
    • Establishing, developing and maintaining effective networks, partnering and reporting relationships with key stakeholders
    The position is a full time role working 38 hours per week. However, a flexible approach to working hours is required, due to the nature of working within a state sports association. The nature of the position requires some out of hours and weekend work, which is recognised in the remuneration package offered.
