  • Steeline is a trusted group of Australian-owned metal roofing and steel building product specialists. We locally manufacture and distribute a range of quality steel structures - from roofing and fencing to guttering, purlins and sheds.

    We're expanding with brand new premises, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales / Data Entry Person to join our team in Bathurst.

    Servicing a large customer base, the primary objective of this role is to process and administer sales orders, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of support and care.

    This position requires you to liaise with internal stakeholders including operations and despatch to ensure delivery of product to our customers in full and on time, every time.

    You will also provide support to our External Sales team in order to maintain and further develop positive customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Complete a high volume of daily customer order entry in a timely manner whilst ensuring all details are correct and 100% accurate (including purchase orders)
    • Prioritise customer orders and liaise with operations and despatch staff to ensure goods are confirmed for the required timeframe
    • Attend to customer phone calls and queries
    • Assist customers with product selection
    • Provide general sales support to the Sales Manager and Sales Representatives
    • General assistance to other departments in so far as they impact on the role - warehouse, sales/marketing, accounts etc.
    The successful candidate will be a self starting, customer focused individual with the following key skills and attributes:
    • Previous experience within a customer facing role, with steel industry experience advantageous
    • Excellent phone manner with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
    • A go getter with a can do attitude
    • Subject to a pre-employment medical assessment
    This is a full time position working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

    Salary offered will be parallel with experience, knowledge and performance.
