  • Coffee Code are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef to join our Cafe in Nedlands.

    To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a relevant qualification (Hospitality or Catering) and a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role.

    You will also need to demonstrate:
    • High standards of professionalism
    • A high level of personal cleanliness and grooming
    • Excellent communication skills
    • The ability to work in a busy team environment
    Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Plan and develop menus;
    • Supervise the work of the Cooks, kitchen and dining staff;
    • Provide assistance and on the job training to junior staff;
    • Ensuring that the kitchen is HSE compliant & lead a safety culture in the kitchen;
    • Provide training on health and safety for all kitchen staff;
    • Ensure the correct equipment and PPE is worn at all times;
    • Ensuring all food hygiene regulations and HACCAP procedures are consistently followed;
    • Conduct departmental toolbox meetings ensuring Health & Safety is the key focus of the team;
    • Ensure that the whole kitchen, dining, food preparation and food storage areas are clean and safe at all times;
    • Develop and maintain site specific safety requirements & initiatives;
    • Work within the allocated budget and manage budgeting process for the catering department
    This is a full time position. A remuneration package between $50,000 - $60,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
