  • Hospitality M E are currently looking for a dynamic Chef / Cook to join our team in Margaret River. This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.

    To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to hold a Certificate III Trade Certificate, or have three years equivalent experience as a Chef / Cook.

    You will also need to have:
    • High level of personal cleanliness
    • Have a passion for and enjoy cooking
    • Be able to organize yourself to comply with efficient work schedules
    • Possess good communication skills
    • Be punctual, well groomed and presentable
    Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Preparing and cooking food
    • Seasoning food before and during cooking
    • Portioning food and plating
    • Storing food in temperature controlled fridge (raw & cooked food) and freezer (frozen food)
    • Check quantity and quality of stock received and notify suppliers of deficiencies
    • Regulating temperatures of fridge, freezer, oven, grills, deep fryer, and other cooking equipment
    • Plan and estimate food requirements
    • Oversee washing and cleaning of floors, crockery, work surfaces and other kitchens equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining room as appropriate
    • Ensure that the appropriate clothing, including head wear, is worn at all times in accordance with the health and safety standards
    • Train other kitchen staff
    In return, we are offering a competitive salary package ($50,000 - $65,000).
