Seeking a qualified and experienced Geoscientist

Working across Perth & remote areas of regional WA
|
Due to an increase in workload, RSC Global Pty Ltd are seeking to appoint a Geoscientist to join our team on
a permanent basis for work based in Perth and requiring to work in remote areas of regional WA. This is a full time role.
The Role
Reporting to a senior or principal geologist, to be considered for this role you will require the following attributes and experience as a minimum:- Minimum Master's degree in Geology;
- At least three years' experience in the resource exploration industry with a focus on critical minerals deposits (lithium, rare earth elements, cobalt, etc);
- Australian exploration industry experience is highly desirable;
- At least 12 months drilling experience (RC, AC and diamond), including rig supervision, logging, geotech and sampling;
- Experience with geological mapping (including rock chipping), soil and stream sediment sampling;
- Experience with QA/QC processes for reporting in accordance with JORC;
- Experience using portable XRF, SEM, optical microscopy, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy equipment including data acquisition and data interpretation;
- A deep understanding of mineral systems science to be able to complete assessments of projects using the mineral-system-science approach;
- Excellent report writing skills;
- Proficient in the use of specialist exploration software packages including QGIS and ioGAS;
- Proficient in R&D project facilitation;
- Be willing to work up to 12 hour days in remote areas, average 38 hours/week;
- Willing to work in remote areas with no/very limited internet and mobile phone coverage;
- Able to cook for self and other team members;
- Need to be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol testing (as required);
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate;
- Hold a Radiation safety and apparatus certificate;
- Have a current WA Police clearance; and,
- Hold a full, clean manual WA driver's licence.
Candidates who do not meet the specified job criteria listed will not be considered for this role.
A salary between $80,000 - $98,000 will be offered to the successful applicant.
