As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of safety within our organisation.
As a Health and Safety Advisor at Duraquip, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and maintaining a safe work environment. You will be responsible for the following duties:- Creating and Implementing Health and Safety Policies: Develop and implement up-to-date health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Investigating Accidents and Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conducting Risk Assessments: Assess workplace hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them through effective risk assessments.
- Providing Health and Safety Training: Deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs to employees and employers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely.
- Overseeing Workplace Safety: Maintain oversight of workplace safety practices and procedures, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the transport, mining, agricultural, industrial, or earthmoving industries
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
