    Ohlmec is growing and we are looking for a Workshop Manager to lead and grow our Kalgoorlie Fabrication and Fixed plant Workshop in a permanent full-time capacity. This awesome role provides the successful applicant the opportunity to build Ohlmec's Kalgoorlie capabilities and be a key driver in the expansion plans.

    Duties:
    • Manage all facets of the Fabrication workshop including productivity, health and safety and quality control
    • Manage the day to day operations of the Kalgoorlie Fabrication and Fixed plant Workshop
    • Compile quotes, estimates and equipment reports
    • Report on Workshop performance and develop realistic Workshop KPI's
    • Plan and schedule all workshop activities
    • Compile weekly reports detailing workshop activities and schedule
    • Manage workshop resources
    • Ensure workshop employees are appropriately trained and qualified to complete their tasks
    • Provide leadership and mentor Ohlmec supervisors
    • Ensure the workshop equipment is maintained and meets Ohlmec's standards
    • Manage the Kalgoorlie vehicle fleet
    • Ensure that the quality of all work carried out conforms to Ohlmec's QA/QC standards as well as the clients specifications
    • Develop Workshop procedures
    • Site visits as required
    • Other duties as requested from time to time by the Products Delivery Manager
    Our ideal candidate will have:
    • Previous experience in running a Fabrication and Fixed plant Workshop
    • Trade qualifications are preferred but not essential
    • Formal Leadership or Management qualifications are desirable 
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
    • Focus on quality and customer satisfaction
    This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule for those seeking daily returns home, as well as an option for FIFO on a 10/4 roster. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $200,000 to $220,000, along with a company-provided vehicle.
