The Olsen Family Trust t/a ASB Contracting, a Perth based company, is seeking an experienced Drainer to join our team. This full-time role involves working 12-hour days on a 3:1 roster, with travel across Western Australia depending on project locations. Team sizes vary between 5 to 25 based on project scope and duration.
The main duties of this role will be to support the Lead Drainer in:- Installing drainage structures including culverts, steel, and concrete.
- Installing rock protection.
- Excavating and monitoring earthwork drainage channels.
- Understanding and working with surveyors' requirements and tasks.
- Setting out drainage with surveyors.
- Reading and interpreting design drawings.
- Safely operating equipment and resources.
- Effectively communicating with the drainage team.
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic, and reliable communicator with at least 2-3 years of experience as a Drainer in the construction industry, including a background in civil earthworks.
Applicants must also have:- Strong understanding of drainage systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret design drawings accurately.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Current WA driver's license (HR preferred).
- Plant operating tickets (excavator, loader, skid steer).
- White Card.
