Burger In Town Pty Ltd t/a Milky Lane Newstead located at 76 Skyring Terrace, Newstead 4006 QLD, is currently seeking a talented Cook to join their team. This is a full time position working 38 hours a week across 5 days.
Applicants must have at least one year of relevant work experience and relevant Australian qualifications.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Setting up the workstation and cooking the food as per the menu and recipes.
- Weigh, measure, portion and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Bake, grill or fry meats, vegetables, and other foods.
- Estimate the food cost, order the stock and control.
- Controlling the temperature of oven, grills, fryer and other cooking appliances.
- Storing the food at the right temperature with FIFO.
- Preparing the food with strict dietary guidelines.
- Ensure the freshness of ingredients.
- Presenting and garnishing dishes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation.
- Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
A salary between $74,000 - $77,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
