Mackex Services, (Mackie Civil Pty Limited), was established in 2012 to provide specialist maintenance and construction services for electricity networks in Australia. Headquartered in Western Sydney, we operate throughout the eastern states of Australia delivering key services on all types of electricity network assets.
We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team based in Greendale.
To be considered for this position, you will need to hold relevant qualification and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
You will be responsible for:- Preparing drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry
- Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems
- Collecting data, performing tests and complex calculations, graphing results, and preparing charts and tabulations
- Estimating materials costs and quantities
- Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations
- Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements
- Undertaking electrical workshop functions, such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices
- Assisting with research and experimentation programs
We are also currently seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to join our team in Greendale.
This role will involve overhead asset maintenance, operations, and replacement, e.g. power pole, cross arm, pole top transformer, overhead lines etc; on the Ausgrid, Essential and Endeavour Networks.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and hold a qualification as a Cable Jointing - Cert III or equivalent.
Additional essential skills and experience:- Current NSW Network Authorisations (Ausgrid)
- Australian Drivers Licence (MR preferred)
- Construction Industry Safety Induction - White Card
- Flexibility to undertake short term travel within NSW as required
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Organised, flexible and highly motivated
A remuneration package between $73,150 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
