JGA CONCRETING PTY LIMITED are currently seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join their team in a full time role in Darwin.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
- Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
- Constructs and installs structures such as concrete formwork for walls, flooring systems, external stairs, paneling and partitions using mechanical fasteners such as nails, screws and brackets
- May repair existing fittings
- Sets out, constructs and erects wall and ceiling frames, constructs eaves, and erects roof trusses
- May work with plastic laminates, Perspex and metals
- Repairs and renovates wooden structures, including by removing and replacing damaged or deteriorated timber
- Communicate with site supervisor/manager of clients' onsite reps for technical issues or site programs or other site related issues
- High efficient self-management
- Able to work under multi-culture environment, respect and overcome the culture or language difference.
- Instruct and direct labor and assistant
- Mentoring Apprentice on site.
Applicants must hold a relevant AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV with at least one years experience , or if without the above qualification, then at least three years of relevant experience is expected.
A salary between $90,000 - $120,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
