    • Matt Birney Builders Pty Ltd are currently seeking skills Carpenters to join their team in full time roles in Thursday Island, the Torres Strait Islands, and Queensland.

    Applicants must hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

    Duties may include:
    • Interpreting drawings and specifications to identify required materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
    • Selecting, ordering, and preparing timbers and other materials, including layout planning.
    • Cutting and shaping materials, and assembling components
    • Putting up structural frameworks, roof framing, and installing sub-flooring and floorboards, ensuring structures are level and true.
    • Assembling prefabricated wood sections for structural and fitting installations.
    • Performing repairs and maintenance on existing fittings when necessary.
    A salary between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
