Join Special Class Welders and Fabrication

We are seeking experienced Full time and Casual Welders, Pipe Fitters, Metal Fabricators, Mechanical Fitters, Electronic Instrument Maintenance Technicians, Pressure Welders, Sheet Metal Workers, Metal Machinists and Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our team for Workshop and Site Work.
Welders, Pipe Fitters, Metal Fabricators and Mechanical Fitters must be experienced in both construction and maintenance projects. Pressure Welders must be experienced in welding and repairing pipes.
Equipment repairs include:- Lathes
- Flange facing
- Pipe Beveller
- CNC
Minimum Requirement:- Trade Certificate
- 2 years' experience working in a similar role within this industry
- Must pass a Medical and Drug Screen
- Be reliable, punctual and hard working
- Clear understanding of Safety Regulations & Safe Work Practices
Highly Desirable:- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Elevated Work Platform
We are also seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our team.
Job Description:- Deliver capital projects safely, on time, on budget, and to specification, meeting business requirements
- Engage all stakeholders through the project lifecycle to ensure both robust project scope development and effective communication as the project is implemented
- Engage project team to ensure safety is forefront in scope development and risks are eliminated wherever possible in good engineering design
- Provide project and engineering support to the manufacturing sites including feasibility studies, business case development, project planning, project implementation, contractor management, and commissioning and training
- Prepare layout and process drawings for planning, construction & installation of new equipment and manufacturing facilities
- Prepare business case papers and technical documentation
- Negotiation and management of contracts for the supply of equipment and services
- Follow internal systems and best practice project management methodologies to execute projects with excellence, meeting time, quality and cost targets
The ideal candidate will have:- Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a self-starter drive
- Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
- Ability to scope, plan and manage complex projects and programs of work
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple stakeholders to achieve deadlines and goals
- Confident and articulate communicator, with the ability to effectively articulate your ideas and opinions to diverse audiences
Must have valid working rights in Australia.
Salary: $76,515 - $90,000. Location: Naval Base, Perth.
