Springbok Foods is a national wholesale distributor and retailer of the largest range of South African groceries and good products in Australia.
We require a Retail Buyer to join our team servicing Noosaville QLD, Greater Brisbane QLD and surrounds, Forest Glen QLD and surrounds.
Key responsibilities include:- Forecast consumer trends, establish volume needs and type of stock to be purchased;
- Design and implement pricing, marketing, promotional and display strategies;
- Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves;
- Establish strategy plans according to seasonal and budgetary requirements;
- Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc and determine the best choices;
- Identify customer preferences and consumer requests;
- Liaise with management on long-term planning and sales promotions;
- Monitor sales data and stock levels, to avoid under and overstocking;
- Negotiate purchase, promotion and supply arrangements with suppliers.
To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV OR at least three years of relevant employment experience.
This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $75,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
