Colourtrend Paints Aust Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Painter to join their Wetherill Park team, painting a variety of commercial projects. This is a full time position, involving working Monday - Friday, 38 hours a week.
The Painter is responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces to enhance their appearance and protect them from damage.
Primary Responsibilities:- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks.
- Select and mix paints, stains, and finishes according to specifications.
- Apply paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools.
- Ensure surfaces are evenly coated and achieve desired aesthetic and durability.
- Protect surrounding areas during painting projects.
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear to prevent accidents.
- Clean work area and equipment after completion.
Applicants must have a AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3), or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of the qualifications.
Further Skills and Qualifications:- Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.
- Prepare Quality Assurance documents.
- Good attention to detail and steady hand-eye coordination.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour.
- A EWP ticket and White Card are also beneficial
Work Environment:- May work indoors or outdoors.
- Often involves working on ladders or scaffolding.
- May require working in various weather conditions.
A salary between $75,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
