About us
We are an NDIS registered business that delivers specialist therapy services to participants under their NDIS plan, including Positive Behaviour Support Early Intervention. We deliver throughout Perth Metro and parts of regional Western Australia.
We are currently seeking a Family Support Worker to join our team working in the Positive Behaviour Support Division.
This position will be based at the office in Canning Vale, Perth as required.
Working from home for agreed times can be discussed. However, a good face-to-face team & support environment is not negotiable.
Qualifications & experience:- Tertiary Qualification in Community Services, Disabilities, or Individual Disability Support
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role and experience working with challenging behaviours, including twelve months or more experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support services in a similar role
- A strong understanding of working within the NDIS environment and disability sector
- Comprehensive understanding of the requirements to deliver complex person-centered behaviour support to people with disabilities
- A current Working with Children's card and National police clearance prior to a letter of offer being made
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- NDIS worker screening check
- Experience with interviewing, gathering information, collating relevant details for design, and building of complex behaviour support plans
- Experience in supporting the development, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing of complex behaviour support plans
- Demonstrated experience in training and teaching techniques including modelling, skill development, problem solving, reflection and resourcing appropriately
- Continuing Professional Development.
Tasks & responsibilities may include:- Develop and deliver high-quality behaviour support, therapy, and consultancy for individuals with behaviours of concern.
- Conduct interviews and gather information for functional behaviour assessments and restrictive practice audits.
- Create, implement, and review individualised Positive Behaviour Support plans.
- Collaborate with peers, psychologists, and stakeholders to develop and review Positive Behaviour Support interventions.
- Assess client needs through meetings with service users, guardians, and stakeholders.
- Drive and support Positive Behaviour Support strategy delivery.
- Provide timely, efficient, and effective Behaviour Support services.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements in reporting.
- Deliver NDIS Positive Behaviour Support services in various settings, including Western Australian prisons.
