  • We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality meals while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, adheres to safety and hygiene standards, and maintains consistency in flavour and presentation.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Menu Planning & Preparation: Develop, plan, and execute a variety of dishes ensuring each dish is prepared to the highest standard of taste and presentation.
    • Cooking & Food Preparation: Ensure menu items are consistent in quality and taste. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety. Ensure proper portion control and presentation
    • Kitchen Management: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow during busy periods.
      Delegate tasks to kitchen staff, assist in meal prep, and ensure timely dish completion. Schedule staff shifts and manage labour budgets.
    • Quality Control: Monitor food quality, taste, and consistency. Ensure all dishes meet restaurant standards and are prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
    • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of spices, herbs, vegetables, meats, and other essential ingredients. Track stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure fresh supplies are always available.
    • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, kitchen safety protocols, and proper food storage techniques.
    • Training & Team Development: Mentor and train kitchen staff on the preparation of dishes, cooking techniques, and safety procedures. Foster a team-oriented environment.
    • Customer Service: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure customer satisfaction. Handle special requests or dietary modifications for customers with allergies or preferences. Work with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
    Skills:
    • Experience: Minimum One year experience required
    • Qualification: Relevant qualification is essential
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a kitchen team, delegate tasks, and maintain composure during peak service times.
    • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in food preparation, presentation, and flavor.
    • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with dietary requirements such as vegan, gluten-free, and halal.
    Working Conditions:
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
    • Ability to stand for long periods and handle high-pressure kitchen environments.
    A salary between $73,150 - $80,000 plus super will be offered to the successful candidate.
