Brake and Clutch Gladstone are currently seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join their team in a full time role in Gladstone Central.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Detect and diagnose mechanical faults in petrol engines and related vehicle systems
- Remove, dismantle, and repair engine assemblies, transmissions, and steering components
- Repair and replace faulty parts using appropriate tools and service manuals
- Conduct scheduled servicing including oil changes, fluid replacements, and tune-ups
- Test and calibrate vehicle systems using diagnostic equipment
- Road test vehicles to verify repair quality and performance
- Maintain accurate records of service and repair work completed
- Comply with safety, environmental, and workplace health regulations
Applicants must have:- A minimum of 1 years' relevant, full-time experience as a motor mechanic
- Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Proficiency in using modern diagnostic equipment and repair tools
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's licence
A salary between $70,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
