Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician

Remuneration between $76,515 - $81,016 depending on experience

We are currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) in Thurgoona that we're looking to fill.
Duties for the Mechanical Engineering Technician role include:- Production Technical Support -
- Provide technical support to the production team to resolve operational issues. - Optimise and maintain extrusion/corrugation lines for consistent output across all pipe sizes. - Assist with tooling setup and line changeovers from DN110 to DN1050. - Monitor production metrics and KPIs to ensure targets are met. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues and reduce machine downtime. - Quality Assurance -
- Verify product integrity, ovality, and wall structure meet SN8 specifications. - Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures. - Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. - Training and Development -
- Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards. - Develop training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Documentation and Reporting -
- Support process documentation, calibration, and plant improvements. - Prepare and present technical reports and production performance summaries. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) -
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Participate in HSE audits and risk assessments. - Promote safe work practices and a safe working environment. Applicants must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role and hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering: Mechanical or related fields.

- Compliant with required certifications and trainings.
- Proficient in maintaining compliance documentation and preparing reports.
- Knowledgeable of HSE regulations and experience in audits
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration between $76,515 - $81,016.
