Indreni Pty Ltd operates three venues across the Sydney metropolitan area, with two located in Rockdale and one in Kogarah. We are currently seeking to fill a full time (38 hours per week) Chef vacancy at one of our Rockdale venues.
Duties include:- Designing menu, estimate and evaluate ingredient and labour costs, and acquiring supplies.
- Designing daily specials and attending to dietary requirements for guests such as allergies and creating alternative menus for large scale functions and events.
- Verifying quality control at every step, from ingredient prep to final presentation.
- Collaborating on solutions for kitchen challenges with the head chef, nutrition experts, and all team members.
- Sharing cooking skills and offering guidance on preparing dishes to the cooks.
- Executing recipes and bringing dishes to life and transforming ingredients into delicious meals.
- Communicating and upholding best practices for food safety and guiding team members on proper hygiene techniques and holding them accountable.
- Play a role in recruiting and developing the kitchen team.
- Prepare food for long-term storage through freezing and implement freezing as a preservation technique.
Applicants must have at minimum a relevant trade qualification (Cert. IV) with 2 years' experience as a Chef on a full-time basis (within the last 5 years). Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.

A salary of $85,000 plus super per year will be offered to the successful candidate.
