Prompt Contracting & Fencing are currently looking for a Carpenter to join our team based in Karratha.
You will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of metal, wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenters hand tools and power tools.
Tasks include:- Manage construction crew
- Carry out and coordinate all aspects of commissioning and decommissioning of demountable housing
- Studying plans and specifications and determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Assembling prepared wood to form structures ready to install
- Screw/fix fascia panels, screening, flashings and fitting wall cladding and door and window frames
- Checking vertical and horizontal alignment
- Interior & exterior building maintenance
- Erecting frameworks, roof framing and scaffolding for patios
- Post and panel retaining
- Operating machines and hand tools to fabricate wood structures and from time to time brick & steel structures
- General labouring when required
To be considered for this role you will need to have at least 3 years' experience as a Carpenter.
Other valuable skills and attributes include:- Class B asbestos removal certificate
- HR licence + experience
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Good organisation, time management and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- High standards of workmanship
A remuneration package between $80,000 to $120,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
