We are looking for a motivated Telecommunication Cabler to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunication Cabler, you will carry out installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of internal telecommunications and data cabling, equipment, and peripherals in Caravan computer networks, telephony, cable television, and monitored security and fire alarms during Caravan manufacturing, warranty, and service processes.
Responsibilities:- Examine technical drawings, specifications, and designated work areas to determine the positioning and connections for telecommunications equipment during the setup of new caravans.
- Install, test, and maintain cabling for each caravan unit's telephone, radio, pay TV, and computer/data transmission.
- Install and configure Wi-Fi routers, network switches, and smart TV connections in newly built caravans to provide seamless digital connectivity for future occupants.
- Attach wires and cables to appliances and integrate them into the caravan's structure during the manufacturing or fit-out phase.
- Locate and diagnose faults in telecommunications equipment and cable lines using specialized instruments such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other transmission measuring tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in data and telecommunications cabling.
- Provide ongoing technical support and assist in upgrading systems as needed based on caravan specifications or future park requirements.
- Install telecommunications appliances, including modems, switchboards, data transmission equipment, mobile antennas, and signal boosters as required.
- Coordinate with other technicians and professionals in the installation of data and telecommunications systems.
- Work closely with caravan assembly teams to ensure that all telecommunications wiring and hardware are installed safely and efficiently during the build process.
- Training and supervising junior staff in data and telecommunications cabling tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:- Possesses trade qualification or equivalent in related field
- Has at least 1 year of experience as a Telecommunication Cabler
- Strong interest in technology and telecommunications
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in installation work
- Proficiency in technical skills and relevant technologies
- Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques for cable and network systems
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing and telecommunications industry
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
