  • Jubilee Packaging require a Lithographic Printing Machinist to join their team in Maroochydore.

    The Lithographing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various printing machines, including digital, letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, and gravure presses. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of printing processes to ensure high-quality output. Ideal candidates have prior experience in the printing industry, possess strong technical skills, and are adept at troubleshooting machine issues. The Lithographing Machine Operator plays a crucial role in delivering precision printing solutions for short-run offset projects.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Set up and operate lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
    • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to optimize printing quality and efficiency.
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing machines to minimize downtime.
    • Review job specifications and ensure proper alignment, ink distribution, and colour matching.
    • Maintain accurate records of production output, materials used, and machine performance.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the printing environment.
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing technology is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a Lithographing Machine Operator or in a similar printing role.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for printing equipment.
    • Familiarity with various printing techniques, including offset, letterpress, and flexography.
    • Knowledge of colour theory and ability to perform colour corrections.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Provide input to remuneration, assign employees to appropriate tasks, conduct performance management, ensure teamwork and strive for continuous improvement.
    To be considered you will also need a level of skill commensurate an AQF Certificate IV and at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience, OR; at least 5 years of relevant employment experience.

    This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A competitive remuneration package is available to the successful candidate.
