Michiru Higginbotham Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Architect to join their team in Waverley working full time (38 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:- Consulting with clients and management to identify the type, style, and dimensions of proposed buildings and modifications to existing structures
- Providing details about design concepts, material options, and estimated construction timelines
- Developing project documentation, such as sketches and scaled drawings, while incorporating structural, mechanical, and aesthetic components into the final design
- Drafting specifications and contracts for use by construction teams, and managing the tendering process on behalf of clients
- Collaborating with professionals and clients to plan external spaces, including assessing costs and overseeing construction considerations
- Gathering and analysing site and community data - such as topography, ecological features, soil types, vegetation, water flow, visual aspects, and existing infrastructure - to guide land use proposals and prepare environmental impact assessments
- Creating reports, site layouts, technical drawings, specifications, and cost projections for land development, detailing elements like earthworks, structures, vegetation placement, and site access
- Monitoring ongoing construction to verify adherence to approved plans, specifications, and quality requirements
Applicants must at minimum hold a relevant Master's degree qualification. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification. Applicants also must be registered or must have worked under direct supervision of a Registered Architect as a direct employee for a minimum period of three years full time doing tasks of an Architect.
