Avon Valley Abattoir (Prime Meat Processors Pty Ltd) is currently seeking an ICT Support Officer to join our Irishtown team
We are looking for applications from people who are able to start early mornings and be reliable. Areas that you may be working in include our Slaughter Floor, Boning Room and Offices with ability to go where needed. Applicants must bring to the role a Can Do Attitude along with great problem solving skills and the ability to work in a proactive and collaborative manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide IT support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain IT systems to ensure performance and security.
- Manage specialised systems like ETP for invoicing, purchase orders, and order dispatch.
- Perform data backup and recovery while enforcing IT security policies.
- Train users, prepare documentation, and coordinate with vendors for IT equipment and services.
- Support industry-specific applications and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Monitor and optimise system performance to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
- Assist in IT upgrades, migrations, and new installations.
- Provide timely technical support for on-site and remote users.
- Collaborate on IT strategies aligned with business goals.
- Update inventory records for hardware, software, and IT resources.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls securely.
- Conduct regular IT audits to identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements.
Candidate Requirements:- Reliable & punctual
- Minimum 2 years` experience providing IT support
- Relevant IT qualifications (degree or certificate)
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams.
- Strong communication skills
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Able to work in an abattoir environment
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Willing to sit Drug & Alcohol test
What we Offer:- Annual Salary of $75,560 to $80,000
- Full time position - Working Monday to Saturday
- Ability to learn and grow within the business
