Ascent Structural & Architectural Steel are currently seeking experienced Painters to join their team in a full time role in High Wycombe.
Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience as a Painter.
Applicants must also:- Be able to read and interpret painting safety documents, mixing instructions and application statements.
- Be able to work as a team and or individually as required.
- Have proven surface preparation and painting experience working with structural steel or similar type industries.
- Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane (Certificate preferred)
- Be available for shift work and overtime if required
- Be a self-starter, reliable, friendly and have a positive attitude.
- Have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Work well with other team members
The purpose of this role is to undertake the abrasive blasting and surface preparation functions to the fabricated structural steel to the requirements of the project's specifications, QMS, ITP and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:- Application of painting products with the use of airless painting equipment, rollers and paint brushes to the required specification.
- Preparing selected/required colour of paints;
- Applying industrial painting and other protective coatings application to surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray guns
- Cleaning of equipment and working areas.
- Undertake painting and surface preparation in compliance with the drawings, documents and specifications as instructed by the supervisor.
- Be able to undertake painting and surface preparation tasks in compliance with the issued ITP's, quality documents.
- Ensure surface treatment tasks are undertaken in accordance with the QMS & ISO9001 requirements.
- Undertaking tasks in compliance with the company polices, practices and safety regulations.
- Maintain paint equipment to include cleaning equipment and work areas
- Commitment and focus to working safely at all times
A salary between $80,000 - $95,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
