MARTIN ELECTRICAL & COMMS is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our growing team. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work across a range of commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operation
- Measure and lay out installation reference points
- Select, cut, and connect wire and cable to terminals and connectors
- Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
- Repair and replace faulty wiring and defective parts
- Position and install electrical switchboards
- Connect electrical systems to power supply and test continuity of circuits
- Install, test, and adjust electric and mechanical components of lifts
- Install, test, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems
Requirements:- Current Provisional Electrical Licence (minimum requirement)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as skilled tradesperson. Please note that time spent in an apprenticeship or traineeship will not be counted toward the required experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and relevant codes and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Driver's License
- Vehicle Required
