  • The Emerald Hotel is currently looking for an experienced Hotel Duty Manager to join our team.

    Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
    • Assisting and coordinating the staff in specific areas of the business
    • Coordinating daily tasks with the General Manager
    • Attending to customer complaints as they arise
    • Manage cash floats to reduce the amounts of cash being held in areas other than the safe(s)
    • Supervise all services offered in the Front Office Departments and ensure they are carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy.
    • Staff recruiting, training, and supervision
    • Handing all aspects of guest bookings and maintaining of accounts
    • Ordering and maintenance of stocks
    • Assigning duties
    • Ensuring Food and Beverage operations run within statutory requirements and adhere to hygiene regulations
    • Producing own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim
    • Ensuring effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment
    • Setting an example to others for personal hygiene and cleanliness on and off duty
    • Carrying out any other duties as required by management
    To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have proven experience in all aspects of Duty Management and Hotel Operations.

    Essential skills and attributes include:
    • Proven experience in supervising, motivating and training others would be an advantage.
    • A relevant degree or diploma in Business or Hospitality is preferred
    • Current and relevant industry experience
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail
    • Proven experience in handling difficult complaints and unreasonable patrons
    • Proven experience in staff recruiting, training, and with dismissals
    This is a full time role working a 7 day roster.

    In return, we can offer a remuneration package of $76,600.
