We are currently seeking an experienced Welder Boilermaker to join our Naval Base team in a full time position.
Applicants will be responsible for:- Performing metal repairs and general fabrication and welding.
- Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Cutting, shaping, assembling and welding components as directed by the workshop plan.
- Checking weldments and assembly for dimensional accuracy and conformance to engineering drawing and instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including maintenance and care of tools and workspace.
- Carrying out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or similar) and 2+ years proven experience in a similar position.
Additionally, experience in Welding of Steel and/or Aluminium and basic Fabrication skills such as reading drawings, preparing metal, cutting, bending and grinding is essential.
A salary between $76,515 - $88,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
