Trivin Pty Ltd t/a Forli Ristorante Italiano is an authentic Italian Restaurant in Balmain, Sydney. We're currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in a full time role (working 38 hours per week).
Applicants must have at minimum a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent + Diploma with minimum 1 year full time (part time equivalent) post qualification work experience or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
Applicants will also have experience with:- Menu Planning and Design
- Complex Food Preparation
- Speed and Volume management
- Taste and Quality control
- Equipment mastery
- Managerial and supervisory skills
- Administrative and compliance skills
Key Duties:- Designing and planning menus, forecasting food and labour expenses, and managing the procurement of ingredients and supplies.
- Overseeing the quality and consistency of dishes throughout preparation, cooking, and presentation stages.
- Collaborating with Manager and kitchen or service staff to address food preparation and service matters.
- Providing demonstrations and guidance on cooking methods and best culinary practices.
- Handling the preparation and cooking of various menu items.
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Participating in the selection, supervision, and training of kitchen staff when required.
- Managing processes for freezing, storing, and preserving food items to maintain freshness and quality.
