Aarika Hospitality Services Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join their team in a full time role working 38 hours per week in Mooloolaba.
We're looking for a a passionate chef with at least one to two years' hands-on experience in Indian Cuisine, able to maintain high efficiency and standards during busy service. Must be a team player, familiar with commercial kitchen rhythm, and hold valid work rights in Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparation and cooking meals for customers upon order
Managing kitchen area
Ensuring restaurant standards are met and food safety is maintained
Menu Planning and Development
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
Always check quality of all ingredients.
Monitor and rotate stock for freshness
Always maintain good communication with all the coworkers.
Staff training sessions and coaching others.
Estimate expected food consumption and organise preparation.
Keeps record of wastage
Open and closing kitchen procedures
Be able to adjust menu items to accommodate guests with allegories or specific dietary allergies or concerns.
Able to work any day or weekends to fulfill the 38-hour roaster.
One single day without the need for you to provide a medical certificate is accepted otherwise you must provide doctors' certificate when taking any other paid sick leave.
Applicants must have:
Formal qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV or higher).
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
A salary between $77,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
