They advise their clients on purchasing, selling, and managing investment properties. A sophisticated systems architecture is the key to rapid growth and product development, and they now investing in that area of the business. Location: Mount Waverley - Victoria
Salary: Negotiable in the range $80,000 - $90,000 before superannuation per annum
Role:- Database Development and Management
- System Integration
- API Development (Python/Linux) and Management
Projects from day 1 will include:- Implementing complex system architectures using a variety of database formats (Graph (Gremlin), SQL, NoSQL) and building connections to existing systems so that the data layer is robust and enables their analytics platform.
- Support and Continue Development of custom in-house applications using PowerApps
- Build custom Applications that enables system integration.
- Configuring Custom Enterprise Applications such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce
Key activities:- Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to existing/proposed solutions. Understand and communicate technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
- Communicate trade-offs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Deliver and maintain compelling software solutions that meet the needs of organisation with a focus on digital engagement.
- Ensure the user experience for the developed tools is intuitive, represents the brand and creates an element of delight for the user.
- Communicate with leaders across the organization to ensure transparency into delivery progress, challenges, and risks.
- Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality solutions
- Help resolve competing priorities and business requirement conflicts between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions
Responsibilities will include:- Understand business and end-user needs; identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories.
- Participate in sprint planning to determine the team's objectives for the upcoming sprint.
- Prioritize and maintain the product backlog.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, story refinements, and team retrospectives; ensure the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps.
- Write high-quality code that satisfies customer needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
- Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems.
- Participate in scope of work estimation and forecasting.
- Adhere to architecture, design, implementation, and security standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews or use collaborative programming techniques to promote high quality business outcomes.
- Conduct analysis to determine integration needs, and design and plan integrations.
- Implement unit and integration tests and conduct functional and performance testing where appropriate.
- Develop reusable software building blocks to enable faster delivery.
- Improve performance of existing software by diagnosing and resolving critical issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals.
- Adhere to established development practices and processes.

Key Skills we expect to see:- Python
- SQL

Qualifications and experience required include:- A relevant bachelor's degree is essential, higher qualifications welcomed
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably post qualification
- Excellent well developed communication and presentation skills
- Critical unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia
