    We are currently seeking an experienced Metal Welder to join our team in Hope Valley in a full time position.

    Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, as well as a relevant trade qualification. You will also be competent in welding of Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. A forklift licence is ideal but not essential.

    Duties and Responsibilities include:
    • General steel fabrication
    • Welding FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
    • Carbon Arc Air Gouging
    • Fabrication inspection and repair
    • Scope of works reports
    • Consistently Increase fabrication efficiency, quality & standards
    • Read and understand mechanical drawings
    • Prioritise work under direction of Department Manager
    • Carry out tasks as directed by the Department manager
    • Operate the overhead cranes in a safe manner
    • Packing of goods always to a standard after completion
    • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
    • Cleaning machines & equipment
    • Use measuring equipment
    • Complete & record time sheets and job cards according to company standard

In this vital role, you will play an essential part in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our machinery. Your expertise will encompass updating service and repair records, maintaining our diverse range of equipment, and conducting thorough diagnostic tests to guarantee optimal performance.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Enhancing Mechanical Efficiency: Use your technical skills to make precise adjustments to machinery and equipment settings, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
    • Troubleshooting Mechanical Malfunctions: Apply your problem-solving abilities to identify and diagnose mechanical issues. You will take the initiative to perform necessary repairs swiftly and effectively to minimise downtime.
    • Proactive Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans that proactively address potential issues, reducing the risk of costly equipment breakdowns and extending the lifespan of our equipment.
    • Collaboration with Engineers: Work together with mechanical engineers on various design and maintenance projects, contributing your insights and expertise to optimise mechanical systems.
    • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous service records and document processes accurately, ensuring that all mechanical systems are tracked in an organised manner for future reference.
    • Parts Management: Oversee the availability of necessary parts and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment to avoid disruptions in operations.
    • Installation and Testing: Take the lead in installing mechanical systems and conducting comprehensive diagnostic tests to validate their operational effectiveness.
    Competencies:
    • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate exceptional skill in the use of various tools and equipment, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical workmanship.
    • Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards: Exhibit a thorough knowledge of HSE standards and quality control measures to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • A Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Hydraulics is preferred, providing you with a solid foundation in the principles of mechanical systems.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experience, showcasing your ability to manage complex mechanical challenges and contribute to our team's success.
    Additionally, we're seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Trades Worker to join our team in a full time role as well. Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and schematics.
    • Select, measure, cut, shape and form sheet metal to specifications.
    • Operate CNC press brakes, laser cutting machinery and other fabrication equipment.
    • Program, edit and optimise cutting parameters in collaboration with programmers.
    • Assemble and finish metal components using welding, riveting, soldering and related techniques.
    • Perform quality checks, packaging, and loading/unloading of materials.
    • Carry out routine maintenance and maintain accurate job records.
    • Manage daily job scheduling while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
    The successful applicants will be offered a remuneration of $76,515 - $82,800
