La Poele Pty Ltd t/a Basq Essendon Fields, are currently looking for an experienced Chef to join our team.
Located in the heart of Essendon Fields, Basq is a newly opened cafe that combines delectable flavours with an exceptional workplace atmosphere. As we embark on our journey to become a culinary destination, we recognise that our dedicated team is the driving force behind our success. You will be responsible for cooking, carrying out and coordinating kitchen operations without supervision, as well as assisting other chefs and maintaining kitchen food safety standards.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to demonstrate relevant trade qualifications and have at least 3 years' experience working in a similar position. HACCP experience is essential.
You will also need:- Good communication skills with management, staff and suppliers
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team
- Computer literacy
- Passion for food preparation and presentation as well as delivering quality dishes with flair
- High standard of personal presentation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Consistency producing high quality food and plating
This is a full time position working 38 hours per week.
A remuneration package between $76,515 - $80,000 plus super will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
