We are seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Technician (General) to join our busy workshop in Bundaberg, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical and diagnostic services on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical repairs on light vehicles
- Conduct diagnostic testing and fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment
- Carry out repairs and replacements of vehicle components including brakes, suspension, steering, and engine systems
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Provide technical advice and support to customers and team members when required
- Uphold workshop cleanliness and safety standards
Applicants must have:- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- At least 3 years of proven experience as an Automotive Technician, with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound knowledge of mechanical and electronic vehicle systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid Australian Open Driver's Licence (mandatory)
Applicants will also need to have their own tools and have worked on most vehicle brands, including European brands.
A salary between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
