ANDRE WILKS PTY LTD t/a Andre's Osteria is currently seeking an experienced Cook to join their team in Weston, ACT (2611).
Applicants must have a relevant Certificate IV qualification plus one year full time (or part time equivalent) post qualification experience. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.
Key Duties:- Food Preparation and Cooking: Preparing, cooking, and appropriately seasoning a variety of meals, often adjusting recipes to meet specific dietary requirements.
- Quality Control: Inspecting food items to ensure they meet quality standards and correctly storing prepared food in temperature-controlled environments.
- Equipment Management: Monitoring and accurately adjusting the temperatures of cooking equipment like ovens and grills.
- Presentation: Ensuring meals are properly portioned, plated attractively, and finished with appropriate garnishes, gravies, and sauces.
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating the necessary food quantities.
- Supervising and training other members of the kitchen staff.

A remuneration of $80,000 plus super per year will be offered to the successful candidate.
