Experienced Quantity Surveyor
|
Based in Perth, Western Australia, we are a subsidiary of the Raubex Group. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will be working as a central quantity surveying role in order to setup and maintain key control measures for our young business.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science - Quantity Surveying Degree and 3 years minimum experience in operating within the roads construction industry (asphalt and seal exposure would be advantageous).
They will also have:- Computer literacy - MS Office (Advanced level).
- Experience with Construction Computer Software (CCS) is compulsory.
- Must be able to demonstrate a decent understanding of a Construction QS, Estimating and Commercial role.
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Clean police record.
- Willing to relocate to Perth, Western Australia, permanently.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a new industry environment.
About the role
This is a central role that supports all projects in the following aspects, supporting the Managing Director, Project Managers and Financial Controller.
Cost Control:- Develop and manage a detailed actual daily cost vs allowable tracking system.
- Assist project teams with detailed cost/revenue to complete forecasts.
Tendering Support:- Compile tender documentation for suppliers/subcontractors' quotes.
- Compile tender submission documentation.
- Manage tender records, housekeeping and improvements.
- Evaluate quotes, analyse rates, and recommend the most cost-effective options.
- Develop tenders on CCS.
- Support management in review and finalisation of tender bids.
Contract Administration:- Draft/Monitor/Close out client progress claims, variations, etc.
- Draft/Monitor/Close out suppliers/subcontractors' progress claims, variations, etc.
- Support Project Managers in validating and approving claims.
- Invoice drafting.
Productivity and Materials:- Develop / monitor / update detailed production tracking for key operation metrics.
- Develop / monitor / update detailed material tracking for key construction materials.
- Identify trends.
Month-end:- Support Project Managers with month-end reporting.
- Assessing of ledger/cost report (determining of accrual, provisions, etc.).
- Drafting month-end project cost-allowable reports (A-forms).
General:- Ensure adherence to group policies and procedures.
- Ensure the administration function is executed correctly.
- In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the Quantity Surveyor will be required to carry out other duties that are part of the general quantity surveying profession.
Remuneration packages between $100,000 - $130,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
