KW Earthmoving & Concreting offers top-quality Wet and Dry Hire, Concreting, Earthmoving, and Quarry Services in Mildura. We are currently seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team in a full time position.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Lay bricks, blocks, and masonry units using mortar, following construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape bricks and blocks using hand and power tools to achieve accurate alignment, levels, and finishes
- Construct and repair walls, partitions, footings, piers, and other brick and block structures
- Prepare mortar mixes to the required consistency and apply mortar evenly to ensure structural integrity and finish quality
- Perform pointing, jointing, and finishing work to meet aesthetic and structural standards
- Set out work areas and calculate material requirements in accordance with plans and site conditions
- Carry out associated concrete work incidental to bricklaying, including footings, slabs, and lintels, where required
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine materials, layout, and work requirements
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements, building codes, and site standards
- Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow on site
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and report any faults or hazards
- Complete basic site documentation, including progress updates and safety records, as required
Applicants must have:- Minimum 1+ years' hands-on experience and AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Current White Card and relevant industry certifications
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of AUD $70,000 - $90,000 per annum.
