  • Yulella Aboriginal Corporation supports social development for Aboriginal people living in and around Meekatharra and surrounding communities. We are currently seeking a skilled Community Worker to join our team full time.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provide case management and direct support to individuals and families participating in community-based employment and development programs
    • Conduct face-to-face and outreach appointments to assess participant needs, barriers, and goals, and develop tailored support strategies
    • Register new participants, explain program requirements, rights, and responsibilities, and support ongoing engagement
    • Develop, implement, and regularly review individual participation and support plans in line with program guidelines
    • Support participants to access employment opportunities, training, Work for the Dole activities, and relevant community services
    • Liaise with employers, service providers, supervisors, and community stakeholders to coordinate participant support and activities
    • Monitor participation, attendance, and progress, and work collaboratively with compliance teams to ensure program adherence
    • Maintain accurate participant case notes, records, and documentation in accordance with contractual, privacy, and reporting requirements
    • Provide mentoring, guidance, and on-site support for Work for the Dole and other community activities as required
    • Identify emerging issues or risks affecting participants and escalate matters to leadership, recommending appropriate interventions
    Applicants must have:
    • Hold a relevant Advanced Diploma or Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications 
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills
    • Experience in community development, employment services, or case management
    • Ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, and community groups
    • Experience working with Aboriginal communities in regional or remote areas
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Ability to work in high-pressure environments with resilience
    The successful candidate will be offered a salary of $75,000 - $100,000.
