Kushi 1914 Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join their team in Mareeba.
You will be preparing, cooking, and seasoning foods in our establishment.
Responsibilities and Expectations:- Inspecting ingredients and food products to maintain high quality standards.
- Controlling and monitoring the temperature of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
- Preparing, cooking, and seasoning dishes to ensure proper flavor.
- Portioning and plating food, including adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
- Storing ingredients and prepared food in temperature-controlled environments.
- Preparing meals according to special dietary needs.
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating ingredient requirements.
- Training and mentoring other kitchen staff and apprentices as needed.
Applicants must have a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management with at least 2 years' full time work experience as a cook.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of $73,000 + Super.
