Position Overview
Millies Fish & Chips is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Cook to support daily kitchen operations at our Paradise Point location. This role is suited to a professional Cook who can work efficiently in a high-volume food service environment while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards.
Key Duties:- Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items in line with business standards
- Coordinate food preparation tasks to ensure efficient service delivery
- Monitor food quality, cooking times, and portion consistency
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance at all times
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory management
- Reduce food wastage through effective preparation and planning
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and food preparation areas
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Required Skills:- Strong practical cooking skills in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
- Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and safety regulations
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
Experience:- Minimum of two (2) years full-time relevant experience OR equivalent
Qualifications:- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent qualification)
