We are currently seeking an experienced Hairdresser / Barber to join our team in a full time role.
The purpose is to provide grooming services to clients, typically focusing on haircuts, beard trims, and various facial hair styling. Barbers also often offer additional services such as scalp treatments, shaves, and hair colouring.
Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role and hold a relevant qualification.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Provide high-quality grooming services, including haircuts, beard trims, shaves, colouring, and styling (e.g., tresses, dreadlocks).
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the salon.
- Engage with clients to understand preferences and provide personalised recommendations.
- Stay updated on barbering trends and techniques through continuous learning.
- Manage appointments and schedules for efficient workflow.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure a productive team environment.
- Uphold excellent customer service, professionalism, and integrity.
- Contribute to the salon's success and reputation through outstanding performance and client satisfaction.
Our ideal applicant will have skills in:- Technical Skills - Expertise in various haircutting techniques, working with different hair types, and knowledge of hair care products.
- Certification and Training - Completion of a barbering program and ongoing education to stay updated with industry trends.
- Customer Service - Strong communication, personalised recommendations, and attentiveness to client comfort.
- Attention to Detail - Precision in styling, commitment to hygiene, and consistent service quality.
- Creativity - Innovation in haircut designs, adaptability to trends, and experimentation with new techniques.
- Time Management - Efficient scheduling, task prioritisation, and punctuality to minimise client wait times.
- Hygiene and Sanitation - Adherence to cleanliness protocols, tool disinfection, and compliance with health regulations.

A salary between $76,800 - $79,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
