About Us
Established in 1930 and now Fremantle's largest accounting firm, FAJ ('Where People Count') provides accounting, tax, audit, SMSF, bookkeeping, advisory and mortgage broking services. We're known for low team turnover, strong client relationships and practical, tech-forward work.
We're currently looking for an Accountant (General) to join our team based in Fremantle, WA.
About the role
Due to our diverse client base every day is different, but initial areas of responsibility will include:- Process client data in Xero/MYOB and prepare workpapers.
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements (BAS/IAS), including SMSFs.
- Prepare individual tax returns with client contact.
- Liaise with and advise small-business clients.
- Participate in regular technical and professional development.
About you
To be considered for the role you should exhibit the following attributes:- Bachelor of Commerce / Business (Accounting) or similar
- CPA/CA Qualified or working towards recognised but not essential
- Experience in public practice is an advantage, but not essential
- Positive, can-do teammate with excellent organisation and time management.
- Clear written and verbal communicator; comfortable with client contact.
- Tech-savvy; learns new systems quickly.
- Curious and thorough; delivers on commitments.

This is a full time opportunity. A remuneration package of $76,515 - $100,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.
