    We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Motor Mechanics / Fitters to join our team in a full time role in Wedgefield.

    The Diesel Motor Mechanics / Fitters are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy vehicles, mobile plant, and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role supports operational uptime by diagnosing faults, completing scheduled servicing, and responding to breakdowns in a timely manner.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on heavy vehicles and equipment.
    • Conduct inspections in accordance with OEM and regulatory standards.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
    • Complete breakdown response both in workshop and field environments.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and safety documentation.
    • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
    • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and relevant legislation.
    • Identify and report hazards, damaged components, and potential issues.
    • Maintain cleanliness of workshop and mobile work areas.
    • Assist in parts ordering and inventory control as required.
    Skills & Qualifications:
    • Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic Motor Mechanic / HD Fitter (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic or equivalent).
    • At least 2 years' demonstrated experience working with heavy machinery, Light Vehicles, mobile plant, or trucks.
    • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    • Ability to operate within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
    • Proficient in use of mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and service software.
    • HR Class Driver's Licence (preferred).
    • High Risk Work Licence - Forklift, EWP, Dogging/Rigging (desirable).
    • Exposure to mining, construction, transport, or civil environments (advantageous).
    A salary between $100,000 and $150,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
