Manchester Flooring Solutions are looking for experienced Floor Finishers and an Estimator to join our team in Perth.
To be considered for the Floor Finishers opportunity, you will need to demonstrate:- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, OR
- AQF Certificate IV (or at least three years of relevant experience in carpet/vinyl installation)
- Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
- Excellent interpersonal skills in respect of customer interaction
- An eye for detail
- Good physical fitness to move heavy stock for laying
Responsibilities will include:- Measuring areas to be covered and consulting plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials required
- Preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims
- Measuring, cutting and fixing underlay materials
- Laying coverings, such as carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials, over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges
- Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways
- Sanding, staining and applying finishing coatings to timber floors
- Broadloom carpet installation
- Carpet tile installation
- Commercial sheet vinyl installation and coving
- Wall vinyl installation
- Vinyl plank installation
- Engineered timber direct stick and floating installation
- Substrate preparation
To be considered for the Estimator opportunity, you will need to demonstrate:- Minimum 2 years experience as an Estimator
- Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
- Excellent interpersonal skills in respect of customer interaction
- An eye for detail
Responsibilities will include:- Assist our clients with tendering packages
- Collaborate with our clients, suppliers and contractors to maintain pre-existing relationships and build new relationships
- Manage small, medium and large projects
- Deal with Tier one Builders
A remuneration package between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
