About the Role
Axent Global designs, manufactures, and maintains electronic control and signage systems, including LED and smart transport systems, applying advanced instrumentation and control technologies. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:- Install, commission, maintain, calibrate, and repair electronic control and instrumentation systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex faults in electronic, electrical, and control systems using specialized test equipment, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive maintenance, functional testing, and calibration of electronic and control systems to maintain reliability and safety compliance.
- Repair or replace defective components and wiring at the system or component level, following technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Assemble and test electronic control systems and subsystems, including quality assurance checks and operational validation during installation or servicing.
- Document service, calibration, and maintenance activities to support operational compliance, warranty, and audit requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to end users on safe and correct operation of electronic and control systems to prevent malfunctions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements in system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Travel to regional and remote sites to conduct on-site commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of electronic instrumentation and control systems at customer sites, including regional and remote locations.
Skills and Experience Required:- Certificate III in Electronics, Telecommunications, Security, or equivalent trade qualification is a must.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in installing and maintaining electronic equipment.
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of digital and analogue electronics.
- Competent with multimeters, hand tools, and test equipment.
- Good computer literacy (Windows, MS Office, email systems).
- Excellent communication and initiative.
