We have a career opportunity for a skilled Supply and Distribution Manager to join our team in Narrabri, New South Wales.
Overall Responsibilities:- Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the supply, storage and distribution of goods produced by an organisation.
- The role is vital in ensuring that products are available when and where needed, while minimising costs and maintaining operational efficiency.
Daily tasks:- Ensure goods are sourced, stored and delivered efficiently, on time and in the most cost-effective manner.
- Plan and manage the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Optimise delivery routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and reduce delivery times.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing transportation, warehousing, and import/export.
- Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as supplier issues, transportation delays, or natural disasters.
- Implement contingency plans to handle unforeseen events that may disrupt the supply chain.
- Lead and manage teams responsible for procurement, logistics, and distribution.
- Train and mentor staff in supply chain and logistics best practices.
Applicants must have at least 12 months experience in a similar Supply and Distribution Manager role.
Key Skills Required:- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
- Analytical skills to interpret data and improve processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Understanding of logistics, warehousing, and transportation regulations.

This is a full-time position requiring 38 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be offered a salary between $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation and bonus dependant on experience. In addition, shift work is available for this role for up to 5 months of the year across 7 days of the week which will include overtime (optional).
