Sands Fridge Lines is a family owned and operated business, a leader in Refrigerated Distribution and Cold Storage in Western Australia. With expansive cold and dry storage facilities and a large fleet of commercial vehicles servicing the diverse needs of our customers located both within the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia.
We are currently looking for qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our workshop in Forrestfield.
To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant trade qualification (Australian Qualified Trade Certificate in HD Diesel Mechanics (or similar recognised qualification)) and have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role.
Working on a range of new and used commercial fleet, including Kenworth, Western Stars, Isuzu and Freightliners, you will be responsible for:- Carrying out truck and fleet scheduled servicing, maintenance and inspections
- Conducting regular maintenance checks of vehicles using the appropriate diagnostic tools
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults as required
- Maintaining fleet paper trail on servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Sourcing necessary mechanical parts when required
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Ad-hoc duties as required by management
We are also looking for an experienced Fibre Composite Technician to join our team.
You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintain the fiberglass components on our refrigerated pan bodies used in our fleet of commercial transport vehicles and equipment.
You will need to demonstrate:- Certification in fiberglass repair or related trade (desirable).
- Preferred refrigerated fibre glass experience in trailers and trucks or any similar industries (Boat and pool fibre glassing)
- Proven experience in fiberglass repair, preferably in transport or automotive sectors.
- Knowledge of refrigerated vehicle construction and insulation systems.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools related to fiberglass work.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces
Remuneration packages between $76,515 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidates based on skills and position.
