The capabilities of the Fremantle Foundry and Engineering Co. (FFE) have been developed over 120 years in the shipping repair industry, and are underpinned by our ongoing commitment to the development of local skills.
We are currently seeking skilled Metal Fabricators, Fitters, and Welders to join our Henderson team in full time roles.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Fostering a risk-based approach and promoting a safe work environment for all
- Ensuring all work is carried out according to set standards and codes, and checked for quality assurance before leaving the workshop
- Setting and maintaining very high standards for housekeeping and safety in the workplace
- Allocating specific work areas within the workshop for small projects
- Ensuring all documentation is completed to client and internal requirements, such as job monitoring cards, timesheets, and materials
Applicants must have:- Suitable Trade Certificate, Technical Certificate, or Recognised Trade Equivalent
- At least 2 years' proven hands-on experience in a similar role within the last five years
- Ability to communicate clearly - both verbally and in writing
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Strong Safety and compliance focus
- White Card
- Forklift Licence
- Dogging Ticket
Ideally, applicants will also have:- Recent hands-on experience in the maritime maintenance sector
- Leadership training
- Elevated Work Platform / Scaffolding
- Fire Warden and Fire Fighting training
- First Aid / CPR qualification
A salary between $80,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
